This forest collage had been on my easel for many months awaiting transformation. It was originally an autumn forest scene that just didn’t ring any bells for me. I thought briefly about adding old buildings into the background and after a trip to Disneyland, I was inspired to make sparkly and colorful trees and foliage and add vaguely castle looking buildings in the background along with a couple of mysteriously dark archways. Now it is ringing. In Spring of 2016, it won a second place award in a juried show entitled Fairy Tales and Fables at The Arts Council Gallery in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
